New Years Day is a day that everyone looks at with hope. Hope for change, hope for a better future, and a desire to be better, do better, and fulfill the things we were put on this earth to do. It’s a pretty amazing day when you think about it. People around the world with the same ideas and thoughts but personalized to them. It’s a powerful thing to put out into the world, into creation. A communal prayer of sorts. I think if we can start to look at the power of unity and the power in united purpose we could accomplish more, keep on track longer, and encourage each other more powerfully.…
Fall always seems like a time of change for me. Time to put my summer clothes away, pull out my warm cozy clothes, can all my harvest. Ok, I have made some progress in my wool AND fabric stashes! First I went through all my yarn and gave away a large bag. I figure less is more when getting organized! I’ve declared a New Year’s do-over at my house. My youngest got sick on the 1st, followed by my oldest, followed by my usually sexy man turned whiny-pam-can-you-call-my-mom-dude. SO, on Monday, January 14th I’m re-starting 2013. Odd I know, but psychologically I need to start this year off on a better note and I choose to make my own rules.So, if your toilet backed up, your mother-in-law showed up, your computer crashed or any other ~ “crap that’s not how I wanted to start a new year” has occurred… join my in saying, “oh, well. Well, after 1 whole year of having no internet at home we finally bit the virtual bullet and got internet here at home. I liked not having the distraction but didn’t love visiting the library every time I needed to shoot off a quick e-mail. The moral of the story? It can be done, it just might drive you crazy.
